The Good Fight is going for the White House in Season 2, at least from a legal standpoint.

Series creators Michelle and Robert King revealed during a politics and issues on TV panel during the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Saturday that Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) will get to find an outlet for her "Trump fatigue" when her law firm is recruited to help the Democratic Party oust the current president.

"The Democratic Committee is auditioning firms to take over impeachment hearings," Robert King explained to reporters. However, both on the show and in real life the ability to impeach the sitting president would require a big win for the Democrats in the mid-term elections in November. "A lot of it is a debate about how Trump could be impeached...These are people who are really counting their chickens before they're hatched."

Things will get more complicated in the office when it's revealed that one of their own is actually a Trump voter. The outlier is going to cause a lot of contention as Diane and most of her colleagues are staunch liberals.

The Good Fight has never been a stranger to politics. The series launched shortly after Trump was first elected and dealt with the repercussions of his election throughout the first season. Now the show will take him head on, or at least explore the beginning stages of doing so as the Democratic Party gets their ducks in a row.

The show will explore other mainstream issues in its sophomore season as well. The Kings revealed they have a Ronan Farrow vs. Harvey Weinstein inspired episode about a journalist trying to expose a liberal star for sexual misconduct but getting shut down.

The Good Fight Season 2 premieres March 18, 2018 on CBS All Access.
