Fire causes $1,000 damage to men's washroom at Amherstburg's Navy Yard Park

A fire in the men’s washroom at the Kings Navy Yard Park in Amherstburg Friday caused an estimated $1,000 in damage.

A fire in the men’s washroom at the Kings Navy Yard Park in Amherstburg Friday caused an estimated $1,000 in damage.

The Amherstburg Fire Department tweeted late Friday afternoon that the “small fire” was intentionally set.

There was smoke damage throughout the room but only minor fire damage was reported.

Officials are asking anyone with any information to contact the Amherstburg Police Services at 519-736-8559 or by email to info@amherstburg.ca.
