Barcelona finally landed their man this evening after agreeing a £142million fee with Liverpool.

Coutinho flew to Barcelona to sign a five-and-a-half year deal which will keep him at the Nou Camp until 2023, subject to a medical.

And the La Liga leaders confirmed the signing on Twitter with a video of a locker room which reveals Coutinho's shirt.

The doors to one locker open while fast-tempo music is played in the back ground, as if to build suspense as to who the player may be.

The camera then pans to a close-up of the jersey while wind breezes past.

However, one failure is that the Catalan giants do not reveal the squad number which Coutinho will wear.

The shirt then retracts to the locker and the doors close.

The video ends with a photoshopped Coutinho in his Barcelona shirt.

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "It is with great reluctance that we – as a team and club – prepare to say farewell to a good friend, a wonderful person and a fantastic player in Philippe Coutinho," Klopp said.

“It is no secret that Philippe has wanted this move to happen since July, when Barcelona first made their interest known.

“Philippe was insistent with me, the owners and even his teammates this was a move he was desperate to make happen.

“Despite that, we managed to keep the player here beyond the summer window, hoping that we would be able to persuade him to stay and be part of what we are looking to do.”
