A third suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with a 2016 shooting on Eagle Drive in Thibodaux.
Mark Clark, 25, 1210B E. Winder Road, Thibodaux, is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, violation of a firearm-free zone, misrepresentation during booking, resisting an officer, driving with an expired license and no license plate light. He remains in the Lafourche Parish jail on a $53,000 bond.
The shooting occurred about 11:15 a.m. April 27, 2016, in the 1500 block of Eagle Drive, Thibodaux Police Cpl. David Melancon said. Darrel Jackson allegedly fired at Mark Clark and Eddie Clark III from inside a vehicle, and the two allegedly returned fire.
Melancon said Eddie Clark III was arrested that day and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and violation of a firearm-free zone. He was released April 30, 2016, after posting a $52,500 bond.
Jackson was arrested the same day on the same charges, as well as charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and violation of probation or parole, Melancon said. He was released Aug. 29, 2016, after posting a $52,500 bond.
