SAN JOSE — A vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 101 in San Jose was shot in the door Saturday afternoon, apparently by a large-caliber gun.
After the shooting near Blossom Hill Road, reported around 12:45 p.m., police were hunting a solo, male driver in a blue-green Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
A sheriff’s deputy reported a hole in one of the shot vehicle’s doors, which he believed to have been caused by a bullet from a large-caliber firearm.
There were no injuries to anyone in the car that had been shot, the deputy told a dispatcher.
No further information was immediately available.
