DHAKA: A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was killed as a passenger bus hit him in Bijoy Sarani area of Tejgaon this morning.
The deceased was identified as Rupon Diu, 45, a Lance Naik of BGB.
Tejgaon thana SI Shajahan Hawladar told Banglanews that the passenger bus of Bihanga Paribahan rammed him when he was riding a bike at Urojahaj crossing area, leaving him injured critically.
Later he was taken to Dhaka Madical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead at 8 am.
The body was kept in hospital morgue for autopsy, the SI added.
