HOW FAR AWAY IS PATRICK MAHOMES?
The Chiefs will start quarterback Alex Smith on Saturday against the Titans, but the question is, will he finish?
Rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes showed plenty of playmaking ability in his lone start this season, and you have to wonder if things get ugly early in Kansas City, if Reid would be open to making a change.
Mahomes's numbers in his first start -- 22-of-35 for 284 yards and one interception last week -- don't jump off the page, but if the Chiefs need a spark on offense, Mahomes might be the answer.

MARCUS MARIOTA
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota did not have the season many expected in 2017. In a pass-happy league, it is hard for a quarterback to play 15 games and still throw more interceptions than touchdowns. That is exactly what Mariota accomplished, however, throwing 15 interceptions to just 13 touchdowns, a staggering stat for a quarterback that was once the No. 2 overall pick.
Mariota has a chance to put that all behind him, however, with a win on Saturday. Elite quarterbacks step their game up in the playoffs, and if he beats the Chiefs, he will be right back in the conversation as one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL.
