The Voice UK's seventh series kicked off on ITV tonight, and the coaches are preparing to spin round in those famous red seats and find a "global superstar".
And they may have already found it when carpenter Jake Benson made his way to the stage in ITV's Media City.
Singing Issues by Julia Michaels, Jake's husky tones saw three out of the four judges spin round, with only Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am opting out of having the dad of one on his team.
Seeing she had quite the pitching battle on her hands, American Idol alumna Jennifer Hudson pulled out all the stops to secure Jake for her team over Sir Tom Jones and newbie Olly Murs.

“I'm just exploring your instrument,”
Jennifer Hudson
Reminding the audience of her powerhouse vocals, JHud sung a few bars with Jake, asking him to hit the high notes for her.
Blown away by Jake's voice, Jennifer then dropped a filthy double entendre that made Will.I.Am jump out of his chair.
"I'm just exploring your instrument," she said, to laughter from the audience.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to laugh at Jennifer's naughtiness, with one fan writing: "Jake would be a great addition to Jennifer's team. Plus she gets to work on his instrument."

A second viewer giggled: "I'm exploring your instrument? Boy that sounded so wrong."
"Exploring your instrument takes on a whole new meaning," wrote a third.
And it seemed Tom Jones couldn't help jumping on the bandwagon, jokingly adding: "You've got the right tool."
Jake opted for JHud to be his coach, leaving X Factor runner-up Olly Murs looking dejected.
