Police have launched a death investigation after a body was found outside Saturday afternoon in the 5100 block of Windmere Chase Drive.

Officers responded to a call about the discovery in northeast Raleigh shortly after 2:30 p.m.

Police provided few details about the incident late Saturday afternoon.

It’s not clear whether it was a man or woman found dead or the cause of death.
