A youth allegedly committed suicide in Jamalpur Sadar upazila on Thursday night.
Rakibul Islam Rajon, 24, son of Abdul Majid of village Chhankanda, was allegedly a drug addict.
According to family members, he was pressurising his father over property for the last couple of months.
As his father did not pay any heed, it triggered a feud between them, said police quoting the family.
Finally, he took his life by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room around 7:30pm, they added.
The body was sent to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Nurul Islam, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station.
