Denver-based Healthgrades, which provides information and reviews on doctors and health care providers, confirmed Friday that it laid off an unspecified number of workers across the company.
“Healthgrades did make some changes this week to enhance our organizational effectiveness and realize operational efficiencies. A very small percentage of employees were affected across the company,” said Jen Newman, a company spokeswoman, in an email.
The company’s workforce remains roughly around 800, which is about the same number it’s been for the past few years, she said.
Healthgrades is in the process of moving into office space vacated by CenturyLink last year. The lease for the 2 1/2 floors at 1801 California St. was announced last April. At the time, the company said it employed 880 people nationwide.
