Bobbi Lynn Crawford Gifford, 63 of Paris, Texas, an earthly angel, took flight early Thursday morning, Jan. 4, 2018, to join all her loved ones in a joyous heavenly celebration. Bobbi would like to let everyone know that her work here on earth is done. She ran the race well, she fought the fight to perfection and now she is resting in the arms of Jesus.

Life for Bobbi was beautiful and eventful. Her exuberance and wittiness were appreciated by all that knew her. She was born on Oct. 13, 1954, to B.J. Crawford and Martha Crawford Castlebury in Paris, Texas. The youngest of three siblings, she grew up in Deport, Texas, and graduated from Prairiland High School in 1972, where she played basketball, volleyball, tennis, and ran track and was, of course, voted Most Mischievous. She went on to nursing school from 1972-74 at PJC, worked a short while at the Regional Medical Center before beginning work in 1974 at the Deport Nursing Home, a family-owned business, and became the jewel of the nursing staff as well as the patients because of her commitment, dedication and witty ways. She was employed at Deport Nursing Home until 2001 when it was sold, and she, the adventurer, decided to begin a new career as a cosmetologist.

Welcome to the discussion.
