Rajkot: A lion cub was rescued from a 10-ft-deep pit in Dholadri village of Jafarabad taluka in Amreli on Saturday. According to locals, the lion cub, about seven-months-old, fell into the pit while moving around in the village. When people came to know about it, they informed the forest department. The forest officials have rescued the cub after struggling for a couple of hours. They first diverted the attention of the cub and wrapped its face with in a bag and pulled it up with a rope.tnn
