Colombo passenger apprehended at BIA

Customs officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport have apprehended a Sri Lankan national attempting to smuggle in a stock of foreign currency. According to Custom officials, 25,000 US Dollars were found, and later seized.

The suspect, a resident of Colombo, had arrived from India yesterday, January 5. Sri Lankan Customs officials state that the suspect has been released and that  further investigations are continuing
