“I am proud to have served to help protect and preserve the quality of life that our community has enjoyed and wishes to continue,” Carson said in the release. “I want to help preserve our environment, wisely and expeditiously, for the benefit of our community and the future.”

“Donna’s knowledge and experience within the township will help strengthen and further the mission of the Russell Township Park Board, and she will strive for efficiency and effectiveness in management and expenditure of taxpayer funds,” Grendell said in the release. “I would like to thank all 20 of the Russell Township residents who applied for positions on the Board, as I enjoyed personally meeting each one.

“Through this selection process I was able to meet many others who would also do a fine job serving, and will keep them in mind for possible appointments in the future.”

Carson joins Scott Wayt and Dennis Suhay who were installed in November.
