Maynard police log: Dec. 25-31

The following are excerpts from the Maynard police log from Monday, Dec. 25, to Sunday, Dec. 31. The log is public record and available for review. All persons are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, Dec. 26

12:57 a.m.: A Butler Avenue resident reported her neighbor would not move from where the trash needs to go, and that the neighbor then shoved the trash back at her. The resident told police she felt as though the neighbor was harassing her.

1:16 a.m.: The Butler Avenue resident reported the same female neighbor was outside staring her down and making her feel threatened. The party was spoken to.

3:12 p.m.: A Sudbury Court resident reported concern for children out on the ice. The kids were spoken to and got off the ice.

6:04 p.m.: Police checking on a suspicious vehicle on Parker Street found the party was visiting a grave. No issues were found.

8:57 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident was reported at Summer Street and Dix Road. One injured party hit her head.

10:45 p.m.: A caller reported a possibly intoxicated woman leaving China Ruby on Nason Street and then driving down East Street. One arrest was made.

Wednesday, Dec. 27

10:59 a.m.: A motor vehicle accident was reported on Reo Road.

12:40 p.m.: Police assisted with a no-trespass form on Main Street at a manager’s request.

7:59 p.m.: A caller on Waltham Street reported an employee there threw a scratch ticket at her and was yelling profanity at the caller.

Thursday, Dec. 28

7:08 p.m.: A caller on Main Street reported her vehicle was stuck on ice and sticking halfway into the street.

7:16 p.m.: A Summit Street resident reported a Christmas tree someone placed on the side of her driveway. The caller was advised that DPW comes around to pick up the trees.

Friday, Dec. 29

11:07 a.m.: Vandalism was reported to a vehicle on Little Road.

1:54 p.m.: A walk-in asked to speak with police about drug activity.

4:08 p.m.: A caller on Butler Avenue reported her tire was possibly slashed.

5:54 p.m.: A caller on Butler Avenue reported a second tire was possibly slashed on her vehicle. The other tire did not appear to be slashed, just low on air.

Saturday, Dec. 30

2:41 a.m.: A dog was reported barking outside for the previous 15 minutes on Driscoll Avenue. The caller told police the dog was brought inside while on the phone.

11:59 a.m.: A dead hawk was reported in a yard on Roosevelt Street. Animal control advised the hawk was the homeowner’s responsibility.

12:42 p.m.: A caller reported receiving multiple harassing phone calls.

Sunday, Dec. 31

11:19 a.m.: Two suspicious women were reported at a Sudbury Court apartment trying to get in through a window on the bottom floor. The apartment was empty, and the incident involved previous tenants.

8:11 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported flashing its high beams on and off on Parker Street. Police located the driver, who showed no signs of impairment. The driver was advised of the complaint and told to be more careful.
