Bristol University fire: Huge blaze as flames seen across the city
A HUGE blaze has broken out on the campus of Bristol University, with flames visible across the city.

The fire is thought to have started behind the Wills Memorial building.
Police and fire crews are on the scene and have cordoned off the area.
The fire is thought to have broken out in the Fry Building, which has been undergoing a multimillion pound refurbishment.
Will Marsh, head of of media at the university, said: “The fire is in the Fry Building, our maths building which was undergoing a refurbishment and was due to open later this year, in spring time.

“We believe no-one was inside at the time, but it is still very sad news.”
Students were evacuated from parts of the campus as the fire broke out.

Shocked Izzy Posen tweeted: “Got evacuated from the Wills Memorial library due to big fire at the University of Bristol.”
Tim Collins tweeted: "Bristol Uni fire looks pretty insane at the moment. I really do hope everyone is okay up there."
The Fry Building is in an old part of the campus, on Park Street in the city centre.
