Mumbai: Anushka Sharma’s again being made a scapegoat after Virat Kohli got out cheaply against South Africa on Day 1 of the first Test at Cape Town.

Anushka was cheering Virat during his first game after the wedding and he got out for 5. Social media immediately started blaming Anushka for Virat’s poor show.

Anushka was trolled on social media, with one post saying, “Bola ta na Anushka bhabi ko mat bhejo South Africa m kohli ke saat. Kar lo ab! Out ho gye hamare Maharaj Virat kohli.”

Here are some more jokes cracked on Ansuhka…

This is not first time Anushka was seen cheering Virat at the stadium, and ended up getting trolled. Earlier, she was trolled after Kohli got out cheaply in the 2015 World Cup semi-final. However, the Indian skipper had later posted on Instagram: “Shame on those people who have been having a go at anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what i do with my sport. If anything she has only motivated and given me more positivity. This was long time coming. Shame on these people that hide and take a dig. And i dont need any respect for this post. Have some compassion and respect her. Think of how your sister or girlfriend or wife would feel if someone trolled them and very conveniently rubbished them in public. #nocompassion#nocommonsense”.

Virat and Anushka got hitched in a hush-hush ceremony on December 11 at Italy. The newlywed couple is in Cape Town. He will be playing the series in South Africa for two months, which includes three Tests, six One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.

Anushka will return to Mumbai and join shooting for Anand L Rai film ‘Zero’ along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She is also prepping for Sui Dhaaga along with Varun Dhawan. Also, she will be busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Pari’, which is releasing on February 9.
