The 76ers have signed guard-forward James Young to a two-way contract.

The team announced the addition shortly before Friday’s home game agains the Detroit Pistons.

Young, the 17th overall pick in 2014 out of Kentucky, spent this season with G League team the Wisconsin Herd where he posted averages of 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in 20 appearances.

The 6-foot-6 Young is shooting .443 from the field and .371 from three-point range this season.

Because of the signing date Young will be able to spend up to 25 days with the Sixers, not including any time spent with the team following the Deleware 87ers’ regular season.
