Marred by protests and controversies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati will apparently see the light of day on February 9. The release date will be announced on Monday. Trade sources say the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor-starrer will not get affected by Akshay Kumar's Padman or its spillover. Anushka Sharma's production, Pari, and Luv Ranjan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety are also slated to release on February 9. Meanwhile, the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, which spearheaded the protests against the film, has called for a ban on the film. The right-wing group has also asked Censor Board chief Prasoon Joshi to step down for clearing the historical.
