A joint squad of the BMC and the BDA on Friday removed two unauthorised nurseries near the Nicco Park Square and made an area of 5,000 sq ft encroachment-free, adjacent to Udyan Fresh store.
Similarly, the zonal squad of
BMC removed 140 unauthorised hoardings between Jayadev Vihar and Baramunda along the NH. In the south-east zone, 118 hoardings were removed and 100 hoardings disembarked in the north zone of the BMC.
Similarly, all unauthorized hoardings from the Sachivalaya Marg from the Acharya Vihar to the AG Square.
On Thursday morning, unauthorized hoarding removal work was also carried out on the road from City Women's College in Jagamar area till Gandamunda and up to Pokhariput area.
On January 2, around 250 small and big hoardings were removed from different areas of the city.
It can be mentioned here that aiming to keep the city skyline clean, without any unauthorised hoarding, the BMC convened a meeting of all political parties on Saturday last in order to have a consensus on effective implementation of hoarding regulations and policies.
Representatives of parties like BJD, BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and Communist Party of India attended the meeting along with Deputy Commissioner of Police, Additional District Magistrate, Bhubaneswar and senior BMC officials.
