State Prohibition Minister Amar Agarwal has directed officials that no person from outside Chhattisgarh should be allowed to work in liquor retail outlets operated by the State Government. In a review meeting here here, the Minister said that the local persons would be offered jobs as salesmen through a placement programme.
The Minister also directed officials to keep a sharp vigil on the operations of liquor shops. He said that the license of all bars operating without license will be cancelled immediately. Agrawal said that the retail outlets are giving a receipt for sale of IMFL. From February 1 onwards, the receipt would have to be given even for sale of country liquor.
