A police mobile court has fined four shops at Dhaka International Trade Fair for selling unhealthy stale foods and for not having a price list for the customers.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Executive Magistrate Moshiur Rahman headed the mobile court on Saturday at the fair in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
The four shops – Original Hajir Biryani, Delhi Shawarma and Biryani, Abul Hotel and Restaurant, and Dream House Lakeview Restaurant – had no price list and apparently charging customers at their will, Moshiur told bdnews24.com.
They were fined Tk 20,000 each.

“We will take tougher action in the future,” he added.
The DMP launched the drive amid a flurry of angry social media posts by visitors over the standard and prices of foods and alleged dupery by the food shop staff.
