Chelsea fans have hit out at 'enemy' Jose Mourinho after the Manchester United boss unleashed scathing comments about Antonio Conte in their escalating war of words.

Conte fired shots claiming Mourinho had shown signs of 'senile dementia' but the former Blues boss stung back by stating he would never be banned for match-fixing.

In 2012, Conte was given a 10-month ban in connection with a high-profile betting scandal throughout Serie A, though he was acquitted of all charges in 2016.

"It was a full acquittal. What matters is that for him, this story is over," said Francesco Arata, one of Conte's lawyers after the ruling was read out.

The Special One appears to have burned all bridges with the Chelsea faithful – without countless fans venting their fury on social media.
