When is the next episode of Star Trek Discovery?
The next episode of Star Trek Discovery - entitled Despite Yourself - will air in US on American network CBS on Sunday, January 7.
It will then be available to watch in the UK and globally on Netflix the following day (Monday, January 8).
Netflix binge watchers will be disappointed as they cannot see the programme in one sitting.
Instead episodes of the CBS and Netflix sci-fi drama will drop on a weekly basis.
The first episode of Star Trek Discovery aired on September 24, 2017 in America before being made available on Netflix the following day on September 25, 2017.
Star Trek Discovery’s mid-season finale was on November 12, 2017 and hit the internet streaming platform the next day on November 13, 2017.

The teaser introduced fans to the latest instalment of the sci-fi franchise.
Star Trek Discovery is set a decade before the events of the original and the short trailer reveals the fight with the Klingons.

Will there be another season of Star Trek Discovery?
Yes, Star Trek Discovery will be returning for a second season which was announced after six episodes of the first run had aired.
President and CEO at CBS Interactive Marc DeBevoise said last October: "In just six episodes, Star Trek: Discovery has driven subscriber growth, critical acclaim and huge global fan interest for the first premium version of this great franchise,"
"This series has a remarkable creative team and cast who have demonstrated their ability to carry on the Star Trek legacy.
“We are extremely proud of what they’ve accomplished and are thrilled to be bringing fans a second season of this tremendous series."
It’s thought that the second run will be airing in early 2019.
Executive producer Alex Kurtzman teased the plot, telling The Hollywood Reporter: "We have a…big idea that emerged mid- to late-season one for something we want to do for season two.
“That's now become the spine of what we want to do for season two."
