The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences agents will offer 10 hours of “The Best Care” Child Care Provider Training.


The free session will be held at the Parish Hall of St. Joseph Catholic Church, 412 W. Sixth Ave., Tuesday, Jan. 20, beginning with registration at 7:30 a.m. Training starts at 8 a.m. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch. Healthy snacks will be provided.


Best Care is an opportunity for provides to enhance their child care program and help meet educational requirements with continuing education. Foster parents are invited to attend to meet their training requirements. One credit is earned for each hour long session attended, according to a news release.


Training will be conducted by U of A agents Mary Ann Kizer of Jefferson County and Diane Clement of Cleveland County, along with Rebecca Simon, early childhood program associate.


“We look forward to working with you to guarantee quality child care for all of our children,” Kizer said.
