DHAKA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque has admitted that they failed to uproot the militancy and the illegal drugs during his five years of his duty as the IGP.

He said this while replying to a question of journalists at a press conference at the police headquarters in the city on Saturday (January 06). The press conference was arranged on the occasion of the Police Week 2018.

AKM Shahidul Hoque said, “We failed to uproot the militancy and the drugs, as the two are addiction.”
