It’s FA Cup third round Saturday, but as yesterday showed, the transfers won’t stop – and nor will The Independent’s live coverage of the January window.
Ross Barkley completed his £15m move to Chelsea while Everton drafted in £25m Cenk Tosun as his replacement to add to Liverpool’s £75m purchase of Virgil van Dijk.
And on Saturday Philippe Coutinho finally sealed his move to Barcelona, bringing the long-running transfer saga to an end.

That's all from today in a busy day of transfer news and the end to one of the saga's of the season. Come along tomorrow for more of the same... Bye!

"If Catalonia gets independence then Lionel would remain as long as they were in a competitive league."
The 25-year-old, who has won the Eagles' Player of the Month award for the last three months running, has been in scintillating form and is one of the main reasons Palace have managed to haul themselves out of the bottom three.
And with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City all reportedly interested – with Pep Guardiola singling the Ivorian winger out for praise recently – talk of a £50m move away from Selhurst has gathered pace.
But Parish has quashed any chances of a departure, telling Sky's The Debate show: "He won't go. It won't happen. It would be a stupid thing to do. I might be a lot of things but I'd like to think I'm not stupid.

"We want to improve on what we've got, we don't want to go backwards."
Monaco have however proven tough negotiators and already rejected a late bid from Anfield in the summer believed to come to around £75m, so it could well take around £100m of Coutinho’s expected £133m fee to sign Lemar. If they cannot push that through, they will move for Mahrez.
Liverpool are meanwhile looking at goalkeepers, amid ongoing debate about the contributions of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius. Jan Oblak would be an ideal but his release clause at Atletico Madrid is £100m and there is other interest, but they have also monitored Allison at Roma, as well as Stoke City’s Jack Butland.

While Liverpool are still trying to persuade the Brazilian to stay, their stance is no longer that he is definitively not for sale, and sources close to the Catalan hierarchy feel more confident than ever that the package they are putting together should now be enough to push the deal through.
The Anfield top brass are prepared to leave the final decision to manager Jurgen Klopp but, should he decide that Coutinho can go, it will really come down to the terms of the deal.
“We talk,” Wenger said on their new relationship. “We know the players. We know. It’s not that we discover, we know every single player in Europe before Sven arrived. Sometimes, in a little club in Germany, he might know somebody we might ignore.”

Barkley, who saw a planned move to Stamford Bridge collapse on the final day of the summer transfer window, has signed a five-and-a-half year contract with current Premier League champions but will have to wait for his debut while he returns to match fitness following a four-month lay-off with a serious hamstring injury.
Conte was frustrated by Chelsea’s dealings in the summer transfer market and hopes any new signings arrive quickly this month.
“For sure, this is true because for me it is very important to work with the players very soon and for this reason our start to the season was poor because many players arrive in the last moment and also injured,” he said. “(Tiemoue) Bakayoko was injured as was Danny Drinkwater. Davide Zappacosta arrived in the last moment but he was lucky because he worked with me with the national team in Italy. If I have the opportunity to work soon with the new players it will be better for my team and the new players so they can adapt in our idea of football.”
