Manchester United booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Derby at Old Trafford last night.
After failing to stick away their chances, United had to wait 84 minutes to open the scoring.
Jesse Lingard provided it with a stunning shot from outside the area that flew into the top corner.
Romelu Lukaku, who returned from injury, scored the second in stoppage time to settle the tie.
And Mourinho is delighted with Lingard’s form.
He’s a good professional and a fantastic kid in the dressing room
“It was a great shot by Jesse Lingard in the top corner, he’s in a moment of confidence where things go well for him," he said.
“He’s a good professional and a fantastic kid in the dressing room.”
Discussing United’s performances overall, Mourinho added: “Derby defended very well.
