The National Weather Service put another wind chill advisory into effect Saturday but called it "one last very cold morning," as the service is predicting temperatures to warm up next week.

The advisory is in place through 10 a.m. Saturday, and residents are encouraged to wear three layers on top, two layers on bottom, hats, face masks and waterproof boots to avoid the risks of frostbite and hypothermia.

With most schools resuming classes Monday, parents can look on the positive side of the past few weeks' bone-chilling cold - no classes yet had to be canceled.

Woodstock can expect a high of 10 degrees Fahrenheit Saturday, DeKalb a high of 8 and Joliet a high of 10. The National Weather Service predicts light snow Sunday afternoon and night with minor accumulation. Freezing rain is also possible but mainly south of Interstate 80.
