MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — Eighteen Moro villagers in Datu Paglas town were hospitalized Thursday after feasting on “halo-halo” prepared by a relative.
The victims, all residents of Barangay Manindolo, complained of abdominal and head pains, before barangay officials brought them to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Mangudadatu directed the provincial medical team to help attend to the needs of the victims as the Datu Paglas municipal health office took samples of the food for examination.
