January 6, Saturday Morning Forecast

AMARILLO, TX - Good Saturday Morning.
We will end this first week of 2018 on a much warmer note than what we started out with on Monday (New Year’s Day). Under a mostly sunny sky with light and variable winds, temperatures will moderate into the 50’s and low 60’s this afternoon. Sunday, however, will turn windy as a cold front plows through the region. Northwest winds of 15 to 30 mph behind the front will create a wide range in temperatures on Sunday afternoon. Forties across our northern counties, to the 50’s and low 60’s for our central and southern zones. No rain or snow is expected. As quickly as the wind ramps up on Sunday, it becomes much lighter for Monday through Wednesday, with highs back in the 60’s each day. Lastly, as of this writing, no rain or snow is expected over the next 7 days.
Have a great first weekend of January everyone!
