(MENAFN) According to USA Today, a trial is ahead of ex-Milwaukee County Sheriff and top supporter of President Trump David Clarke Jr. over insulting an individual on Facebook.

Following his description of Daniel Black as a "snowflake" on social media, Clarke is to stand before court on 22 January after Black accused him of abusing his authority in harassing him following an encounter 15 January 2017 on an airplane.

Even though several charges were dismissed by a judge, a jury was called to reach a verdict on whether the Facebook posts written by Clarke were threats or retaliation against the plaintiff.

In one of his Facebook posts, Clarke mocked "cheer up, snowflake ... if Sheriff Clarke were to really harass you, you wouldn't be around to whine about it."
