Entering into the thick of winter season, the temperature has taken a bone chilling turn in the Capital City and the rest of Jharkhand.
According to the forecast made by the Indian Meteorological Department the count for the lowest temperature is likely to dip down further in coming days and there are no signs of relief till Monday.
With every day past biting cold is unfurled in the city and Friday proved to be colder than Thursday which surpassed Wednesday. Friday proved to be coldest day of the past week in Ranchi with 6.3 degree Celsius of minimum temperature, beating Thursday’s 6.8 degree of minimum temperature. As per the forecast made by Indian Meteorological Department minimum temperature in Ranchi and nearby areas is expected to remain down with minimum of 5 degree celsius during the weekend.
Kanke with 4.4 degree Celsius of minimum temperature experienced an acute cold on Thursday. As per the forecast made by the weather department Cold wave is expected to blow across isolated place in Jharkhand till January 7. This cold wave has affected the normal course of life in the state and people have to hold back themselves from coming out in cold.
With vacations ended or near to end, school kids faced lots of difficulty while catching up with school timings in chilling winter mornings of the city. Aanchal Saxena said, “As my father drops me to school on his motor bike, it has become difficult for both of us to travel in such cold conditions.”
