In a shocking incident, a 29-year-old Bihar engineer was allegedly kidnapped and forced to marry a woman at gunpoint in Patna's  Pandarak area on 3rd December last year.

The man has been identified as Vinod Kumar who works as an executive engineer in a Bokaro steel plant. Kumar was going to attend a friend's marriage in Islampur, when he got a call from one Surinder Yadav, whom he had met earlier during his father's treatment, and he asked him to come to Mokama.

But, when Kumar reached Mokama, Surinder held him hostage and made him marry his brother-in-law, Madan Yadav's sister -- a video of which has gone viral on social media platforms. In the video, Vinod Kumar can be seen being thrashed and forced to marry the woman.

According to victim's brother Awadhesh, his friend Guddu was also held hostage and was kept in a separate room. He further said he tried to contact his brother that day but couldn't speak to me. Next day, he got a call from Madan Yadav who informed him that his brother has been married.

Victim's brother has lodged a complaint with Pandarak Police station, but even after one month there has been no arrest in the case.
