Islamabad, Jan 6: Pakistan on Saturday blacklisted UN-designated terrorist and the mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai attacks Hafiz Saeed and his organisation Jamat-ud -Dawa. The latest action from the Ministry of Interior comes in the wake of reports which claimed suspension of block an aid of $2 Billion for failing to clamp down on terror camps of Afghan Taliban and Haqqani network.
Similarly, the neighboring country also banned any financial funding to the organisation. The relations between Pakistan and the United States of America soared after the President Donald Trump accused it of giving lies and deceit in exchange for financial support.
“The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools,” Trump said in a strongly worded tweet.
“They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!” Trump said in his first tweet of the year.
This was the strongest warning that has come from the US president. In his new South Asia Policy unveiled in August, Trump had called for tougher measure against Pakistan if it did not cooperates the US in its fight against terrorism
