Cyber crime police have nabbed a 48-year-old man for hacking income tax return account using fake digital signatures and forging documents for obtaining details of his victim Hemant Jain.
The victim Hemant Jain lodged a complaint stating that his registered email ID with the income tax department has been accessed by someone and based on the complaint it was found that Rajneesh Agrawal was using the income tax ID for obtaining the information by providing fake documents.
During the investigation, Rajneesh confessed that Mukesh Bajaj was involved in the crime but before Mukesh could be nabbed he managed to escape and was nabbed on Thursday.
The nabbed accused is uncle of victim’s wife and due to family dispute complaint against victim has been lodged and a case under section 498 A of the IPC and 125 CrPC and the court ordered Rs 3000 as maintenance to victim’s wife and in order to increase the maintenance her uncle Mukesh Bajaj colluded with Rajneesh to obtain income tax return documents claiming higher income of the victim.
The nabbed accused was identified as Mukesh Bajaj and he is victim’s relative.
Earlier Rajneesh Agrawal was nabbed for obtaining income tax details of the victim and preparing it after re verification. After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case against the two accused and have started further investigation.The forged documents were used to obtain SIM card for the crime but were nabbed by the police. The details of the nabbed accused would be searched.
