
Death toll rises to six in Feni’s Daganbhuiyan road crash

At least six people have been killed and 25 others injured in a road traffic accident in Feni’s Daganbhuiyan.
The accident occurred in Amirgaon area on Feni-Noakhali road around 7:30pm on Saturday, Daganbhuiyan Police Station OC Abul Kalam Azad told bdnews24.com.
The OC initially put the death figure at four, but later Upazila Executive Officer or UNO Saiful Islam confirmed to bdnews24.com they pulled six bodies from the bus.
The rescue operation was under way while the injured were admitted to Daganbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex, the OC said.
He also said the driver of the Shahi Paribahan bus apparently lost control while giving way to a motorcycle and the bus veered off the road, leading to the casualties.
The bus was going to Chittagong from Raipur of Lakshmipur.
The identities of the victims were not available immediately.
