Meizu will unveil its latest smartphone, the M6s aka mblu S6 on January 17. Interestingly, this smartphone will also be the first model to come with the new mblu brand most probably in China. The Blue Charm line got spun off into its own division. As such, the smartphone will also be called mblu S6, but it will depend on the market as well.
Having said that, the Meizu smartphone has been subject to rumors and leaks in the past couple of days. Recently the smartphone appeared on ANTUTU ahead of the launch and now the handset has just received certification from TENAA, the Chinese Certification site.
And with this appearance, it yet again confirms the old rumors and previous leaks. Further now we get to see how the device looks from the pictures and the specs of the device have been outed as well.
So going by the TENAA listing, Meizu's first handset for 2018 will come with an 18:9 screen and it will be a mid-ranger as its branding implies. The handset features a 5.7-inch 1,440x720 display and is powered by Samsung's Exynos 7872 SoC coupled with a Mali-G71 CPU. The smartphone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will be backed by a 3000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It will run on Android Nougat 7.0 with the company's custom FlyMe OS 6.0 on top.
As for the image, it reveals that the mblu S6 will not come with the popular mBack home button. Since the phone comes with a full-screen design users will basically have to rely on on-screen buttons for navigation.
The front of the phone looks quite similar to the Redmi 5 Plus, with a big display. Coming to the back, the device features the U-shaped antenna bands, there is the mblu logo, along with a single camera and a flash.
On the left side, there are the volume control buttons while on the right there is the power button. Just below the power button, there seems to be a side mounted fingerprint sensor. The dual-SIM handset should also come with standard features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS.
The Meizu M6S is expected to be priced similarly like the Redmi 5 smartphones, so that
will be around CNY 1000 (that's roughly $154 or €127 or Rs. 9,760 as per the current exchange rates).
