Tiger Zinda Hai is continuing its run at the box office in what was a terrific second week at the box office for the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif actioner. The film romping its way to the Rs 300 crore mark will soon enter the league of the top five highest grossing films in India. The film that currently rests on the fifth position is Sultan, at Rs 300 crore which belongs to Salman Khan himself. And looking at the newest numbers, it may as well trump Salman’s highest earner Bajrangi Bhaijaan as well.
Despite issues in Maharashtra this week, the film spurred a good run in the weekdays. Sharing the numbers today, trade expert Taran Adarsh wrote in tweet: ” #TigerZindaHai has a TERRIFIC Week 2… Will cross ₹ 300 cr mark + *lifetime biz* of #Sultan [₹ 300.45 cr] in Weekend 3… [Week 2] Fri 11.56 cr, Sat 14.92 cr, Sun 22.23 cr, Mon 18.04 cr, Tue 7.83 cr, Wed 5.84 cr, Thu 5.09 cr. Total: ₹ 291.55 cr. India biz. #TZH” The film has earned Rs 206.04 crore in its first week at the box office, and is set to bag half of it in its second week as well, having earned Rs 85.51 crore this far. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif action thriller has received a lot of praise this far, and that reflects well in the records that the film has broken. Following the film’s massive success, director Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan are set to collaborate once again in Salman’s next titled Bharat as well, making it the third time in a row.
