The Terriers on Thursday beat VMI, 92-53, matching the largest margin of victory in a Southern Conference game. They beat Chattanooga, 97-58, in 2011. The Citadel lost 107-67 at Furman in a game the Bulldogs led, 30-29. … The Citadel's first league game was a close defeat, 81-70, at home against Western Carolina. …The Citadel tries to use a fast-paced attack and is second (barely) in the country only to Savannah State with 85.1 possessions per game. …Last season, the Bulldogs took a 104-103 win at the Benjamin Johnson Arena and lost to Wofford in Charleston, 100-90. … The Terriers have won 19 of the past 22 meetings in the series. … Ken Pomeroy in his national ratings has Wofford at No. 158 despite winning six of the past seven games, including Georgia Tech and North Carolina.
