Eagles offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce on Friday were named first-team All-Pro, a prestigious recognition that shows their status in the NFL. It’s the first time either was honored as the best at his position in the NFL.
Quarterback Carson Wentz was named second-team All-Pro, behind Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Fletcher Cox was second-team all-Pro on the interior defensive line behind the Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald and Pittsburgh’s Cameron Heyward.
Johnson, 27, started 15 games this season and earned his first Pro Bowl appearance. He’s developed into one of the NFL’s elite offensive tackles even though he plays on the right side.
Kelce, 30, has improved in 2017 after underachieving last season. He was a Pro Bowl snub, but he’s been an elite center while starting all 16 games for the Eagles. Kelce has been a seven-year starter for the Eagles and now has an All-Pro and two Pro Bowl bids on his resume.
