Golden Lamb Buttery recently announced its closure as of Dec. 31.

The restaurant was open for 55 years, founded by Bob and Virginia Booth. Katie Bogert has been the owner since 2008.

Bogert explained that after the New Year’s Eve closing, the future of the site remained uncertain. She emphasized that the overall rural ambiance will remain unchanged, as the
1,000-acre estate is protected farmland of pastures, stone walls, woods and a pond.
