BCSO: Man threatens woman, children at gunpoint

Timothy Stuckey, 28, has been charged with a count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of child neglect and a count of domestic battery, court records stated.

PANAMA CITY — A Bay County man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened a mother and her two small children at gunpoint during a domestic argument, according to arrest reports.

Timothy Mason Stuckey, 28, appeared in court Friday in connection with the case. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office arrested him after receiving reports from a Dec. 29 altercation at a Tower Road home, in which a mother and two children — who will not been identified — reported being threatened with a firearm. Stuckey has been charged with a count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of child neglect and a count of domestic battery, court records stated.

Stuckey is being held at the Bay County Jail on a $21,000 bond and has been ordered to not have contact with the family. He is scheduled to return to court Feb. 13.

According to BCSO, Stuckey and the alleged victim had lived as a family for almost year when the Department of Children and Families responded to their home Dec. 29. The family told authorities Stuckey and the mother were involved in an argument when he allegedly grabbed a black handgun and placed it in his waist line. After that, the argument became physical, with Stuckey allegedly grabbing the woman by the throat and slamming her against a wall, BCSO reported.

One child “stated after mommy was shoved against the wall, she was pushed to the ground and hit her back on a knob in the kitchen/living room area,” officers wrote. The child “said (Stuckey) pulled the gun out of the back of his waist band and pointed it at (both children) and her mommy and stated ‘if you don’t call my brother in 10 minutes, you’re all going to get it.’ ”

BCSO reported the mother then told the children to run, so they grabbed two blankets and sought shelter under a gazebo outside. DCF reported that when they made contact with the family about the incident, investigators noticed the blankets still under the gazebo.

BCSO arrested Stuckey on Thursday after reviewing the case. He remains in custody at the Bay County Jail.
