The League of Women Voters of Johnson County will sponsor three legislative forums in January, February and March.
The first forum will be 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at the Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn St., in Rooms A, B, C.
The other forums will be Feb. 24 at the Coralville Public Library, 1401 Fifth St., and March 17 at the South Slope Community Center, 980 N. Front St., North Liberty. They also will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The forums will focus on education in January, the environment in February and labor, housing and service in March.
The forums provide opportunities for dialogue between the legislators and their constituents in Johnson County. Legislators will present summaries of critical issues before their respective houses, particularly those of interest to them.
State Sens. Joe Bolkcom, Robert Dvorsky and Kevin Kinney and state Reps. David Jacoby, Bob Kaufmann, Vicki Lensing, Amy Nielsen and Mary Mascher have been invited.
