I've been a Bruce Springsteen fan for more than 40 years. Through the years, Bruce's music has, in many ways, been the soundtrack to my life and I've seen him perform live many times.

Back in 2011, several people who were close to me passed away and I decided that the time was right to fulfill one of my biggest wishes, which was owning a Porsche.

My wife convinced me that I needed a vanity plate and one of my favorite Springsteen songs, "Thunder Road," became the inspiration for the plate — THDRRD. It seemed a natural fit for driving the highways in a Porsche.

Since I've had the plate, I've noticed a number of people in cars behind me on the highway taking cell phone photos of the license plate.

There are a lot of Bruce fans out there!
