Michael E. Stevens, 64, of Hutchinson, died on Jan. 5, 2018, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 2, 1953, in Lindsey, OK to N.A. Stevens and Kathryn (Lumley).

Michael E. Stevens, 64, of Hutchinson, died on Jan. 5, 2018, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 2, 1953, in Lindsey, OK to N.A. Stevens and Kathryn (Lumley).
Michael was a long time resident of the Hutchinson community. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the local VFW. Michael was also the owner and operator of Stevens's Waterproofing. Later in life he also was employed as a truck driver.
Michael was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church of Hutchinson. He drove the church bus for over 15 years. He also enjoyed bringing joy to others during the holiday, by dressing up as Santa Claus. The joy of each day was spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, Ruth.
Survivors include: his three children, Adam Michael Stevens, Austin, TX, Kathryn Elizabeth (Joseph) Patty, Hutchinson, and Nicolas Alexander (DeAnn) Stevens, Hutchinson; sister, Sandra (John) Bredvick, Hutchinson; brother, David (Sheila) Stevens, South Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Kaidance Stevens, Mystique Patty, Saige Patty and Jeyden Stevens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 9th, from 1 to 8 p.m. with the family greeting guests from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
Memorial Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 10th at 10 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church, 114 E. 4th, and Hutchinson, KS. Pastor Richard Haley will be presiding.
There will be a private burial held for the family.
