Franconia reorganization meeting held

FRANCONIA >> Municipalities throughout the state held their reorganization meetings Tuesday, Jan. 2.

In Franconia, Grey Godshall was again chosen as Franconia Township Board of Supervisors chairman, David Fazio first vice chairman and Robert Nice second vice chairman. Charles Amuso and Curtis Kratz are the two other members of the board.

Jon Hammer is township manager, secretary/treasurer and zoning officer. Russell Dunlevy and Beth Gooch are assistant zoning officers.

Frank Bartle, of Dischell, Bartle & Dooley, is township solicitor. Russell Dunlevy, of Gilmore and Associates, is township engineer. Christen Gilmore Pionzio, of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, LLP, is Franconia Township Zoning Hearing Board’s solicitor. Fox Rothschild, LLP, is Franconia Township Industrial Development Authority solicitor.

The following appointments or reappointments — all are reappointments except John Medendorp, who is a new appointee — were also made.

Annual appointments to the Act 537 Committee: David Fazio, Grey Godshall, George Witmayer, Russell Dunlevy, Douglas Rossino, John Medendorp, Kerrin Musselman, Robert Nice, Jon Hammer, Alfred Ciottoni and Daniel Leidy.

Annual appointments to the Agricultural Advisory Committee: Curtis Kratz, W. Blaine Souder, Curtis Nice, David Yoder and Grey Godshall. Annual code enforcement officer appointments: Roger Koffel and Gerald Rittenhouse.

Emergency Management Agency: James Minninger III to a five-year term through Dec. 31, 2022.

Steve Coll is fire marshal. Paul Stoudt is first deputy fire marshal and Joe Rausch and Nathan Yothers are deputy fire marshals.

Annual appointments to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee: Keith Kneipp, Gerald DeLong, Charles Amuso, Steven Barndt, Richard Kapusta, Kyle Koffel, Patricia Alderfer, Douglas Worley, Jeryl Schueck and Nancy Shelly.

John Medendorp was appointed to a two-year term, through Dec. 31, 2019, as Franconia’s representative to the Indian Valley Regional Planning Commission.

Annual appointments to the MS4 Committee: Charles Amuso, David Fazio, Jon Hammer, Paul Nice, George Witmayer, Russell Dunlevy and Doug Rossino.

Annual appointment as Franconia’s representative to the Northern Montgomery County Recycling Commission: Jeff Dietrich.

Annual appointments to the Open Space Advisory Board: Charles Amuso, Grey Godshall and Gerald DeLong.

Elaine Feiss was reappointed to a five-year term, through Dec. 31, 2022, on the Franconia Township Parks & Recreation Board.

Annual appointment as Pension Funds Actuarial Consultant: Univest Pension Advisors.

Gerald DeLong, Nancy Shelly and Douglas Worley were each reappointed to the Franconia Township Planning Commission for four-year terms through Dec. 31, 2021.

Robert Nice was reappointed to a five-year term, through Dec. 31, 2022, on the Franconia Township Sewer Authority.

Annual appointment as township planner: Joseph Zadlo.

Annual appointment to the Franconia Township Vacancy Board: Douglas Worley.

Annual appointments to the Franconia Township Zoning Ordinance Committee: Kerrin Musselman, Kyle Koffel, Russ Dunlevy, Beth Gooch, Doug Rossino, David Fazio, Charles Amuso, Joseph Zadlo and Jon Hammer.

Franconia’s representative to North Penn Water Authority: George Witmayer.

Jeffrey Rathgeber was reappointed to a three-year term, through Dec. 31, 2020, on the Franconia Township Zoning Hearing Board.
