Janice Gertrude Hull, 91, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at the Richmond Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Kansas.
She was born Dec. 18, 1926, near Michigan Valley, Kansas, the daughter of Vincent T. Foster and Fern A. (Barrett) Foster. She grew up and attended schools in Lyndon, Kansas. Janice worked for a couple of restaurants in Ottawa, Kansas.
She was united in marriage to John Russell “Rusty” Hull on Nov. 14, 1948, in Ottawa, Kansas. They shared over 28 years of marriage before the death of her husband on Jan. 23, 1977.
Janice was a homemaker and farm wife.
She was a member of the Richter United Methodist Church, Richter, Kansas; Homewood Christian Community Church and Friendly Club, both of Homewood, Kansas. She also enjoyed reading and gardening.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a nephew, Rick Sears.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Caple and her husband, James of Quenemo, Kansas; a son, Mark D. Hull of Williamsburg, Kansas, and a daughter, Glenda Workman of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Dorothy Sears of Omaha, Nebraska, and Bonnie Vanilla of Belleview, Nebraska; a grandson, Bryan James Caple; a great-granddaughter, Kristen Caple; and many nieces and nephews.
To celebrate Janice’s life, family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St., Ottawa. Inurnment will take place 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Antioch Cemetery, Homewood, Kansas.
