UberEATS goes live in Pune

Online cab aggregator Uber has expanded its on-demand food delivery service UberEATS to Pune, making it the 8th city in India to have the service. The cab aggregator has partnered with about 300 restaurants across the city, and the service is available across key neighbourhoods in the city like Vimannagar, Kalyaninagar, Koregaon Park and Sangamwadi.  Note that UberEats is a separate app available on iOS and Play Store, or users can book via its website.

Buttercups secures funding from angel investors

Online lingerie e-tailer Buttercups Intimates has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from angel investors like Rajan Anandan and Chandra Chappadi, reports VCCircle. Existing investors like founder of Fireside Ventures Kanwaljit Singh, and former Snapdeal executive Anand Chandrasekaran also participated in this round. The company will reportedly use the fresh capital to launch new categories in lingerie space and setup two new fitting rooms in Bangalore this year. The company already has one fitting room in the city. The portal reports that Buttercups will also expand to Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad from next year.

Zoomcar expands PEDL to Mumbai

Self-drive car rental company Zoomcar has expanded its cycle rental service PEDL in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region starting with the privately-developed smart city, Palava, reports PTI. According to the agency’s report, Mumbai becomes the fifth city after its launch in Pune.  Zoomcar had launched in October 2017,  starting with Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. The service primarily serves last mile commuting purposes like grocery shopping or errand running etc.
